Flat platinum Redox Probe 1698-10B with tuff tip is designed to be installed into either pipework or immersed into a vessel to give continuous online readings.
Flat Platinum Redox Probe 1698-10B Introduction
The 1698-10B is designed with a reduced lateral profile so that the Redox probe is immunised against mechanical damage without compromising the accuracy of the Redox measurements or the response time of changing Redox values.
The flat platinum Redox probe disc and tuff tip reference junction enable us to accomplish this, and by combining these elements with a PVDF body the probe is further resistant to concentrated chemicals and aggressive Redox reactions.
We've tried to ensure that the 1698-10B flat platinum Redox probe is as versatile as possible with a front mounted 3/4" male thread for mounting inline into pipes or tee pieces. There is also a rear mounting 3/4" male thread for dip mounting into unpressurised vessels or open tanks.

The 1698-10B combines a number of different technologies to provide a versatile Redox probe, designed to give accurate Redox measurements and excellent response times to changing Redox values.
The tuff tip reference ensures that the 1698-10B is virtually unbreakable during normal operation. The low profile flat platinum disc ensures that the Redox probe is perfect for installation into a fast flow where solids are present, or mounting into an non-pressurised vessel where industrial agitators are present.
The 1698-10B also has an internal double junction reference to ensure that the Redox probe is resistant to electrode poisoning, which normally occurs where the solution being measured can react with the silver, silver chloride reference of a single junction Redox probe.
The PVDF body is resistant to concentrated chemicals and aggressive Redox reactions, and combined with a high temperature polymer reference, ensures that the 1698-10B Redox probe is able to operate across a temperature range of 0-100ºC.
The flat platinum disc Redox probe and specially manufactured ceramic tuff tip non-fouling liquid end combine to ensure a rapid response time to changes in mV value as well as unparalleled precision Redox measurements.
The pH bulb uses low impedance pH glass formed into a flat glass shape. This means that the glass pH bulb is virtually unbreakable during standard usage, and it is designed that should the online pH probe be mounted into a pipe where solids are present, the chances of a solid compromising the pH bulb are significantly reduced.
The flat platinum Redox probe has a rear mounting 3/4" male thread for mounting in dip Redox probe assemblies and a front mounting 3/4" male thread to become an inline Redox probe.
The 1698-10B is fitted with a 10 foot length of specifically shielded connecting cable terminating in a BNC process connector as standard.
Note:- One consideration of the online Redox probe is that the insertion length is 46mm from thread to tip making this unsuitable for pipework less than 2" diameter.
