Dip Redox Sensor systems

A dip Redox sensor system  system or dip Redox assembly is a superb way of measuring the Redox value in a process vessel, normally this is a tank or an unpressurised process vessel.

Our submersion Redox sensor assemblies are designed so that they spend their entire operational duration immersed within the solution to be measured. The exception being where they are removed for periodic buffering or calibration.

We have a number of different types of immersion sensor which all offer continuous online Redox measurements, the R36-10B is a disposable immersion Redox sensor system measuring 900mm long with 3 metres of connecting cable. The Redox electrode in this submersion assembly is not designed to be replaced. Alternatively our RS90S, RTT90S and RTT100s utilise a replaceable Redox probe cartridge, so when the supplied Redox probe reaches the end of its operational life, it simply unscrews and a replacement Redox probe can be fitted. The RS90s, RTT90s and RTT100s offer a low cost of ownership and can be manufactured up to 3 metres in length. Each of the replacement Redox probe cartridges are fitted with over 6 metres of connecting cable so that the whole assembly can be mounted into deep tanks.

The dip Redox sensor systems are perfect for mounting into process vessels and plating baths. Each of Redox probe inserts offer precision Redox measurements and utilise our double junction technology to resist electrode poisoning. They are cost effective devices which offer accurate Redox measurements and a rapid response to changing Redox values. Our dip Redox sensor systems are usually paired a Redox controller and utilise dosing pumps to dose chemicals corresponding to Redox value for process control.

Where a process vessel is being used with an industrial mixer, it is important to select the right dip Redox sensor assembly to ensure both accurate Redox measurements are made and that the lifespan of the Redox sensor is prolonged.

There are two considerations to make - firstly to ensure that the Redox sensor is continually submersed in the solution that is to be measured. As a high speed industrial mixer will often create a vortex lowering the level of the tank we would suggest a slightly longer dip Redox sensor assembly.

Also - where work or other objects are placed into a process vessel - solids can be present. Where a mixer is present there may be a danger of solids colliding with the Redox sensor. In this instance we would recommend using one our tuff tip Redox probes which are virtually unbreakable.

Its worth mentioning that the Redox sensor assembly should be mounted away from the mixer blades too!

PVDF Submersible Redox electrode system for use in hot tanks or where concentrated chemicals are used.

The PTT100s is manufactured in heavy duty PVDF for additional chemical resistance and measures 1000mm as standard with lengths of up to 2000mm available on request.

The tough PVDF housing is perfect for continual Redox measurement in open tanks, lagoons, pits, or other unpressurised vessels which can be exposed to high temperature.

ACS (Auto Clean System)

ACS (Auto Clean System)

The ACS (Auto Clean System) is designed to work with any of our dip Redox probe assemblies.

The unit is simply mounted onto the side of the dip Redox probe assembly and when connected to a suitable Redox instrument allows the Redox probe to be cleaned automatically.

The ACS is compatible as either a jet stream system for use with a cleaning liquid, or a compressed air auto clean system.

The autoclean system is designed predominantly for use where either greases or fats can accumulate, lime or other carbonates can form or fibres or stands are present.

By using the autoclean system the requirement for systematic manual maintenance on dip Redox probe assemblies is significantly reduced.
