Tuff tip Redox probe model RTT183-20B is designed as a replacement Redox probe insert for use with the RTT90s Dip Redox Electrode system.

Tuff Tip Redox Probe RTT183-20B Introduction

The tuff tip Redox probe RTT183-20B has a 3/4" BSP mounting thread which makes it easy to install in the RTT90S dip Redox probe assembly. Even better, when it comes to remove the Redox probe for calibration, it's simply a case on unscrewing the electrode and carrying through the calibration.

With a large platinum disc electrode the Redox probe offers accurate Redox mV readings and a quick response time to changes in the Redox value.

The Tuff Tip reference junction is specifically shaped to prevent any mechanical damage from occurring to the Redox probe. This is especially important when the dip Redox probe assembly is installed into tanks and vessels with mixers or agitators present.

The tuff tip also works as a large annular reference junction; meaning that the porous material is always in contact with the solution being measured and the large surface area gives the tuff tip Redox probe an excellent response time to changes in the Redox value.

With the tuff tip on the Redox probe, the RTT183-20B is unbreakable during most normal operations. The large platinum disc electrode maintains contact with the solution that is being measured and the tuff tip design ensures that there is minimal chance that this can be mechanically damaged.

The tuff tip Redox probe not only benefits from the large annual reference junction. The platinum disc has been specifically designed to protrude enough to ensure accurate measurement and a rapid response time, while being raised above the body of the tuff tip Redox probe.  This ensures that if the Redox probe were to be pushed onto a flat surface, the pH bulb would not be in contact with the surface. 

The PTT183-20B combines precision and rapid Redox measurement with a probe designed to with-stand difficult mechanical environments.

The tuff tip Redox probe is also fitted with 20 feet or 6 metres of connecting cable as standard, meaning that installation into a process vessel, tank or other vessel is as simple as possible.
