C7687 Conductivity Controller
The model C7687 is member of our series 7687 analytical instruments which is a microprocessor based panel mounting conductivity and oC controller featuring a multiline graphic display.
The C7687 has several key features, including a multiline graphic display which shows the measured parameter and solution temperature if a temperature sensor is available, or the base temperature if no temperature sensor is available. which also shows the state of the control and alarm relays.
The model C7687 features five user selectable ranges from 0 - 20μS to 0 - 200mS with a “k” = 1.0 cell, the range of measurement maybe extended by the use a cells with a cell constants of 0.01, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 or 10.0. which muliplys the measuring range by the cell factor IE 0 - 200μS range with a cell of k = 1.0 becomes 0 - 20μS with a cell constant “k” = 0.1.
The display may be user configured to display conductivity in μS or mS depending on the range selected, TDS (Total dissolved solids) with user configured conversion factor 0.45 to 1.0 TDS/Conductivity and other units %, ppt, ppm, g/l, mg/l. or Be. Resistivity in M! for ultra pure water with the special temperature compensation required for UPW.
The temperature sensor provides both automatic temperature compensation and a solution temperature readout from either a Pt100 or Pt1000 temperature sensor with 2 or 3 wire configuration. The automatic temperature compensation has both user selectable base temperature and temperature coefficient in % per oC. If no ATC is fitted to the cell the solution temperature maybe entered manual in the range of 0 to 100oC. Two isolated current outputs of 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA are available which maybe user configured for either 2 x conductivity or conductivity & oC.
The control relays can be programmed for either On/Off control, PFM control to proportionally control electronic metering pumps or PWM to time proportionally control solenoid valves or small pumps. One adjustable alarm relay with delay timer is fitted which operates on both a high and low measured value. Two logic inputs are available which inhibit the operation of the control and alarm relays so the instrument goes into a standby mode when operated.
Designed with an IP65 front panel for installation in a control panel to provide reliable accurate and dependable measurement and control of many industrial process. The rear of instrument case has two plug in connector blocks for ease of installation and maintenance.
