4/6 PTFE

4x6mm PTFE Dosing Tube

4x6mm PTFE dosing tube

4x6mm PTFE dosing tube can be supplied cut to size from any length up to 100 metres.

4x6mm PTFE Dosing Tube

PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) dosing tube is available with an internal diameter of 4mm and an external diameter of 6mm, for use with chemical dosing pumps such as our AT1 series, AT2 series and AT3 series.

PTFE dosing tube offers numerous advantages as a delivery source for chemical reagents.  PTFE is highly chemically resistant to almost all chemical reagents, (excluding gold cyanide, amongst others).  I has excellent mechanical properties, and a wide band of temperature operating ranges.

While 4x6mm PTFE dosing tube is non-flammable and electrically insulated.  One benefit from using PTFE is that it has a very low friction co-efficient and is anti-stick making it incredibly easy to clean.

While 4x6mm PTFE dosing tube is compatible with the greatest range of chemical reagents, we strongly recommend checking the compatibility of your chemical reagent with the LDPE dosing tube, using our chemical compatibility checker.

Technical information for use as a guide only.  Pressure values given are based on the short term burst pressure at 20°C.  Any increase in temperature above 20°C will result in a decline in working pressure values.  We strongly recommend you check our chemical compatibility database and speak to your chemical supplier, to ensure that all materials are compatible with the chemical to be dosed.

4x6mm PTFE Dosing Tube Features & Benefits

4x6mm PTFE dosing tube is an excellent way of delivering chemical reagents into a process as it combines excellent chemical resistance properties with a good mechanical properties and is available with lengths, up to 100 metres, or cut to size.

The 4x6mm PTFE has a low friction co-efficient and also a perfectly smooth inner bore, combining to give remarkable anti-stick properties which even make cleaning the dosing tube simple.

In addition to the chemical and mechanical properties, the thermal properties of the 4x6mm PTFE dosing tube offer an exceptionally wide band of temperature ranges.  The pressure ratings for the dosing tube are based on temperatures of 20°C, so if you are planning to operate at elevated temperatures, please don't hesitate to check with us that the pressure rating is within the operating limits.

  • Applications

    Applications

4 x 6mm PTFE is designed for delivering concentrated chemical reagents in industrial environments. It is suitable for use with chemical dosing pumps that use 4 x 6mm dosing tube, including the following series of dosing pumps:-

4x6mm PTFE is the most chemically resistant material that we supply and compatible with most chemicals. It is stable over a very wide temperature range and is non-flammable and electrically insulated.

Even though it is one of the most chemically resistant materials we strongly recommend that you check that LDPE is compatible with your chemical reagent using our chemical compatibility database or with your chemical supplier and that all chemical dosing tube is protected from frost, direct sunlight and is installed inside a secondary pipe or hose to provide mechanical protection and containment.

PTFE has one of the lowest friction co-efficient's and perfectly smooth inner walls.
