Cooling Tower Control

cooling water controllerWe have been supplying cooling tower controllers and cooling water instrumentation and dosing equipment since Automated Water & Effluent Ltd started in 1982.

Recently we have seen an increase in the number of factory built systems we are supplying, both as back plates and systems supplied in purpose built enclosures.  The reason for this is that it makes on site installation much more efficient.  As time is already spent satisfying health and safety legislation, improving the efficiency of the installation site can help to reduce the time on site, and ultimately the cost.

We supply a wide range of cooling water control instruments and systems.  At a minimum our cooling water controllers include timer based biocide dosing from one of our Dosing Pumps and automated or manual bleed valves.

More commonly we supply our more sophisticated instruments which work with electrochemical parameters to control the cooling water cycle.  Our systems use a Redox Sensor to measure the Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) which controls biocide dosing.  A second biocide (normally bromine from a Brominator or another oxidising biocide) is controlled from a 7 day timer and a Conductivity Sensor controls the bleed or purge valve.remote access cooling water controller

Our most sophisticated instruments offer remote access allowing the customer to login into the controller remotely to adjust set-point values; monitor chemical levels and dosing rates, as well as receive communications from the controller on set conditions, such as a low chemical level or flow alarm conditions.

Each of our cooling water systems are ready built, assembled and tested, requiring only the connection of the flow and return cooling water sample with the bleed valve, discharge piping to a suitable discharge point, connection of an isolatable mains power supply and the chemical reagents supplied.

All our systems have a PVC manifold, fitted with union ends for easy site connection.

The manifold is pressure tested before shipping and test certificates can be supplied at an additional cost, if required.

We also supply large sized units with room for the chemical drums to be stored inside, in separate bunded areas.

If you have any special requirements, please contact our sales office and we may be able to assist you further.
