LLFS
Rigid Float Switch Assembly
Our range of rigid float switch assemblies can be manufactured in a wide range of materials including 316 Stainless Steel, PolyPropylene and PVDF, offering both high level and low level switching.
Rigid Float Switch Assembly LLFS Introduction
We offer a range of rigid float switch assemblies which are designed to offer a normally open or normally closed contact on a high level or a low level.
The floats are available and manufactured to custom lengths and diameters for mounting into a variety of chemical containers; process vessels; tanks and other unpressurised containers, to offer control and alarm functions.
The LLFS rigid float assemblies comprise of a sealed float designed to rise and fall inline with the liquid level, causing a microswitch to close allowing a voltage signal to be switched.
The float direction can be user selectable to allow for both high level switching and low level switching, depending upon the application type.
The LLFS range can be mounted into a container, tank or vessel using a number of alternative types of fittings. We offer flange mounting, BSP threaded sockets or union fittings to ensure that the float switch assembly can be mounted securely in place.
We also have a number of options available on housing the electrical connections, including a range of junction boxes or direct wires to ensure compatibility with a number of different process types.
Chemically Resistant Rigid Float Switch Assembly LLFS
The LLFS are designed for use in clean water; process vessels; chemical containers and effluent tanks, assuming that no solids are present to prevent the float from operating.
We offer the rigid float switch assembly range manufactured in the following materials:-
- 316 Stainless Steel
- PolyPropylene
- PVDF
Alternative materials of construction are also available and we're happy to discuss your requirements.
Rigid Float Switch Assembly LLFS Applications
The LLFS are fitted with a user selectable float allowing the unit to operate with either a normally open or normally closed connection.
This makes the LLFS ideal for use in any number of level control applications.
As a simple device offering switching based on a high or low level - the LLFS is often used as a final fail safe in process vessels. When the level in a tank reaches a high level the LLFS can trigger a warning, alarm, or remote compunction. Using the device in a fail to safe capacity this can be used in the event of a supply failure.
Additionally the LLFS can be used as a low level warning trigger in chemical containers. With options for rigid float switch assemblies to be fitted into chemical containers as small as 5 Litres and right up to process vessels, IBC's and larger containers, the LLFS can be used to trigger remote communications devices, as well as stop dosing pumps from running, in the event of a low chemical level.
Rigid Float Switch Assembly LLFS Features & Benefits
The LLFS is a low cost device of simple design and construction designed to offer a normally open or normally closed connection, in the event of a high level or a low level. The switching is user configurable and the LLFS range can be custom manufactured to the length required (up to ~ 3 metres).
With a range of mounting options available, including flange mounting, threaded connections or union fittings, the LLFS is designed to ensure that they can be securely mounted into a range of different chemical container types from as low as 5 Litres up to large storage vessel capacity.
As a low cost option, the LLFS can add additional security to Conductive Level Controllers so that in the event of a power supply interruption, a fail to safe can be activated.
With a selection of construction materials to choose from, including PVDF, PolyPropylene and 316 Stainless Steel, the LLFS range is designed to be compatible with a wide range of chemical reagents in both a storage and process capacity.
