Insertion conductivity cells to be screwed directly into a process for continuous conductivity measurements

Insertion Conductivity Cells

An Insertion Conductivity cell is designed to be mounted into pipe work or into a process vessel to give continuous online conductivity readings.

Insertion conductivity cells are normally installed into bypass pipe work or into larger diameter pipes or into vessels. All of our insertion conductivity cells are fitted with a 3/4" BSP thread for screwing into place.

Insertion Conductivity Cell Ranges and Cell Constants

Our range of insertion conductivity cells are available with cell constants ranging from K=0.01 to K=10.0.

For deionised or reverse osmosis applications we recommend a value of K=0.1 for a range of 0 - 20.00µS.

With a K=1.0 insertion cell constant the cell is designed to work on a range of 0 - 50mS / 100mS.

For a process application an insertion conductivity cell with a cell constant of K = 10.0 is designed to give results over a range of 2mS - 100mS  / 1000mS

We recommend using a cell constant of K=0.01 with our Resistivity & Conductivity Controller the C7685-001. Combining the resistivity meter with the low range conductivity cell PSE-001 ensures very precise readings where the conductivity is very low, such as in ultra pure water applications for the semi conductor or pharmaceutical industries. This enables an operating scale of 0 - 200nS (0.2µS).

Insertion Conductivity Cell With Automatic Temperature Compensation

Most of our insertion conductivity cells are available with inbuilt automatic temperature compensation. This ensures that the conductivity is accurately reflected when the temperature changes. Please let us know the instrument that you are planning to use the conductivity cell with so we can ensure compatibility.

High Linearity Conductivity Cell

Within our insertion conductivity cell range we have a number of high linearity insertion conductivity cells. These are specifically engineered so that the surface of the cell is optimised for a high linearity over a measuring range; combined with frequency optimisation proportional to the cell constant - our high linearity conductivity cells are designed to negate the polarisation effects and offer unparalleled accuracy and linearisation.
