Proportional control dosing pump range where the number of strokes or speed of the dosing pump can be automatically controlled from a pulsed input or 4-20mA input signal

Proportional Control Dosing Pumps

Each chemical dosing pump within our proportional control dosing pump range is able to dose in continuous mode with the output flow rate manually adjustable. In addition to manual operation - each of the pumps is able to automatically increase the frequency or number of strokes that the pump makes proportional to a signal.

Dosing Pump Proportional to Pulsed Input

The HY-BC, each dosing pump in the AT-AM series and AT-MT series of dosing pumps are able to dose proportional to a pulsed input signal. This signal is normally supplied from either a water meter or from a process controller with a PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulated) signal output, such as our P7685 pH controller.

The pulsed input is ideal for either flow proportional dosing, which can be commonly used in water treatment applications where sodium hypochlorite is dosed proportional to the flow. The pulsed input is also ideal for a number of other applications including as either an acid dosing pump or alkali dosing pump for pH correction. As pH is logarithmic the pH controller can be easily setup to increase or decrease the PFM signal based on how far the measured pH is from the set-point value. This pulsed output signal instructs the proportional control dosing pump to increase or decrease the frequency or number of strokes proportionally. This is ideal for the control of pH critical processes as the chemical reagent can be accurately metered in ensuring reduced chemical usage and precision pH correction.

The HY-BC is able to divide the pulsed input signal and AT-AM series and AT-MT series of proportional control dosing pump are able to multiply or divide the pulsed input signal.

Dosing Pump Proportional to 4-20mA Input

The HY-MA and all of the AT-AM and AT-MT series of dosing pumps are able to dose proportional to a 4-20mA input signal. Each dosing pump automatically regulates the frequency or number of strokes per minute the the pump makes based on the incoming 4-20mA signal.

Each of the 4-20mA proportional dosing pumps will stop dosing on a signal of 4mA or below. A 20mA signal will allow the dosing pump to dose at it's maximum output - this can be regulated down from 100% using the front mounted potentiometer. Using the AT-MT series of dosing pump - the 4-20mA can be expanded and inverted in the dosing pump software allowing the pump to start dosing on a user selectable mA signal and stop dosing on a user selectable mA signal, allowing the pumps speed and frequency to be customised based on a fixed 4-20mA input.

Each of the proportional control dosing pumps include a low level cut-off from a volt free signal.

HY-BC

HY-BC

The HY-BC proportional dosing pump will dose proportionally to a pulsed input signal. The flow rate or speed of the dosing pump is automatically adjusted as the number of pulses coming into the pump changes with user selectable ratio of either 4 pulses to 1 stroke, 8 pulses to 1 stoke or 40 pulses to 1 stoke. The HY-BC is an ideal solution for small pH correction applications, biocide dosing and boiler treatment applications.

The proportional dosing mode can also be used in the low dosing rate mode where the speed of the pump is limited to 20% of the rated output.

The HY-BC also incorporates a low-level cut off for use with an optional float switch or volt free contact.

Model Number*Output (Litres / Hour)Pressure (Bar)Speed (Strokes / Min)Output (mls / stroke)Hose Size (mm)Power (Watts)
HY-BC-12-1.5 0 - 1.5 12.0 160 0.10 4 x 6 15

HY-BC-06-06 0 - 6.0 6.0 160 0.94 4 x 6 15

HY-MA

HY-MA

The HY-MA proportional dosing pump will dose proportionally to a 4-20mA input signal only. On a 4mA input signal the dosing pump will stop and on a 20mA signal the pump will dose at a percentage of the rated output. The percentage selector is located at the front of the pump and can be set from 0 - 100%.

The HY-MA is an ideal solution for small dosing applications where the precision metering of chemical proportional to a 4-20mA signal is required. The HY-MA can dose proportional to a 4-20mA input signal in the low dosing mode where the full 4-20mA scale is available over 0 - 20% of the pumps rated output.

The HY-MA also incorporates a low-level cut off for use with an optional float switch or volt free contact.

AT1-MT

AT1-MT

The AT1-MT Dosing Pump is a microprocessor controlled dosing pump which offers proportional dosing to a 4-20mA signal and pulsed input signal. As well as proportional dosing the AT-MT offers dosing modes which include PPM dosing, batch dosing, and timer dosing.

In 4-20mA proportional dosing mode the AT1-MT will automatically vary the dosing rate based on the input signal. In the dosing pump software a specified dosing rate can be allocated to any point on the 4-20mA scale, the signal can be expanded and inverted and custom start / stop points can be allocated anywhere on the 4-20mA scale.

In pulsed proportional dosing mode the AT1-MT can multiply or divide the pulsed input signal across a wide range. The multiplication ratio is 1:n where n can be any value from 1 to 999, meaning 1 pulse results in n strokes of the pump. The division ratio is n : 1 where n can be any value from 1 to 999, meaning n pulses results in 1 stroke of the pump.

From a pulsed input the AT1-MT can dose in PPM dosing mode. By telling the pump the strength of the chemical used (e.g. sodium hypochlorite at 12%) and the PPM required, the dosing pump will automatically maintain a set PPM rate of chemical into a process.

The AT1-MT can also offer batched dosing and timed dosing from the internal software. This can even be triggered to being on a volt free input to the pump.

The AT1-MT includes an input for use with an optional float switch, flow verification input, remote start / stop input (which can be used with a flow sensor), and an alarm relay output.
