Redox Sensor inline holder for making continuous or online redox measurements inline

Redox Sensor Inline Holders

Redox sensor holders for inline measurement are designed to hold a Redox sensor inside a piece of pipework and ensure that the Redox sensor is immersed in the measured solution to provide a continuous inline Redox measurement.

The Redox sensor holders are designed as an alternative to installing a threaded insertion Redox probe either directly into pipework or within a tee piece.

The inline Redox sensor holders are normally installed as a permanent piece of pipework, while also including a mechanism for the quick release of the Redox electrode when required, usually to allow periodic calibration or cleaning.

We do recommend installing isolation valves and a bypass before and after an inline Redox sensor holder. The only exception to this is our lock-n-load retractable Redox electrode system - the lock-n-load is self isolating meaning that the Redox electrode can be removed even when there is fluid running through the pipework - which is fantastic if the process is critical and cannot be stopped even to allow the Redox electrode to be calibrated.

When measuring the Redox value of a process that is contained within a pipe it can be tempting to thread the pipe and install a pH probe with the corresponding thread. This can sometimes cause difficulty when it comes to removing the probe either for maintenance, replacement or for a standard calibration.

For an easy way to remove the Redox sensor we recommend using one of our inline Redox sensor holders - we have the RES-1-QR assembly for 3/4" pipework which holds one of our glass (or epoxy) bodied Redox electrodes.

The RES-2-QR inline Redox sensor holder is used for larger diameter pipework and works with our industrial Redox probes.

These two systems are solvent welded into the pipework (or they can be supplied with threaded connections on request) to form an integral part of the pipework. Then when it's time to remove the Redox sensor (the pipework should be been drained and isolated) - the Redox sensor is removed from the inline sensor holder using the quick release fitting. This takes a matter of minutes for easy maintenance.

Alternatively - we have the Lock 'N' Load retractable and self isolating inline Redox sensor holder. This system is sealed from inside the end cap - so the retracting section of the Lock 'N" Load won't fly off under pressure and it also creates a seal with the pipework. When it's locked into place the Redox  sensor can be removed without having to isolate and drain the pipework. It's a neat all-in-one-system which means that there isn't a convoluted arrangement of ball valves or retaining cables - just a simple lift, twist and lock to remove the sensor and carry out any calibration or maintenance.

Redox Sensor Inline Holder Range

RES-1-QR

RES-1-QR

The RES-1-QR is an inline Redox sensor holder designed to hold a Redox electrode in place within pipework to give online Redox measurements

The inline sensor holder is supplied complete with the 3/4" tee piece so that we hold redox sensor directly within the flow of the solution to be measured.

The RES-1-QR is designed to hold any of our standard length glass body (or epoxy body) Redox electrodes and these can be easily removed for periodic calibration or buffering by a simple twist of the quick release mechanism.

RES-2-QR

RES-2-QR

Where a Redox sensor needs to be held within the flow of larger diameter pipework we have our RES-2-QR Redox probe holder.

The RES-2-QR holds the industrial pH probe directly within the flow of the solution to be measured to provide continuous online Redox measurements of the solution within the pipework.

To remove the Redox sensor it's a simple case of loosening the retaining cap and the Redox sensor can be removed for calibration, maintenance or replacement.

Lock N Load

Lock N Load

The Lock N Load in an inline Redox sensor holder with a difference

The Lock N Load is self isolating - with no need for clumsy ball valves or chains.

The end cap ensures that the Lock N Load is isolated from the inside. So there is no need to isolate the pipework first, or even stop the process flow.

Simply twist the mechanism - lift the assembly - then lock it into place with a quarter turn and the Redox sensor is removed from the process and the assembly is isolated. Now the Redox sensor electrode can be removed from the sleeve for calibration or buffering.

The Lock N Load is a beautifully designed inline sensor assembly for process critical inline applications.
