The long life Redox probe 3698-10B is designed for dip mounting into process vessels where aggressive Redox reactions or concentrated chemicals used as part of a process.
Long Life Redox Probe 3698-10B Introduction
The 3698-10B long life Redox probe is designed to offer exceptional resistance to the harshest of environments. Combining the most chemically resistant materials viable and with an extended electrode body the 3698-10B is designed to work continuously even when working in environments with strong Redox reactions.
The 3698-10B all PVDF body has a single 3/4" male mounting thread placed to the rear of the probe body. This enables the 3698-10B to be mounted into a riser tube for submersion into open vessels and process tanks as part of a dip Redox probe assembly.
Long life Redox probe 3698-10B combines the PVDF body with an annular PTFE reference junction and large platinum band. The annual PTFE reference and large platinum band give the Redox probe exceptional reaction times to changing Redox values and precision measurement of the Redox value.
Internally the 3698-10B has a double junction to ensure that the 3698-10B is resistant to electrode poisoning. This is where the Silver, Silver Chloride reference of a single junction Redox probe could react with the measured solution.
As well as having a double junction the 3698-10B Redox probe is designed with an extended probe body, which allows us to maximise the internal volume of reference material. This in turn ensures an extended life for the Redox probe during continuous measurement.
The reference is an annular type using a porous teflon junction to ensure that it's non fouling. This means that during normal usage the long life Redox probe only needs to be removed for periodic calibration and buffering.
The combination of our high temperature polymer, PVDF body, and PTFE reference junction mean that this probe is suitable for an operation temperature of 0-100ºC.
Long Life Redox Probe 3698-10B Features & Benefits
The key benefit of the 3698-10B is the extended operational life of the Redox probe during normal operation. This in turn means that even when used with aggressive Redox reactions, or where concentrated chemicals are being used, the 3698-10B is designed to continually measure the changing mV value accurately, and report even the most rapid of changes in the measured Redox value.
The materials of construction are highly chemically resistant; comprising of a large platinum band, annular PTFE reference junction and the PVDF body.
The rear mounting 3/4" male thread is designed to ensure that the 3698-10B can be easily installed into a riser tube and simply installed into a process vessel to continually measure the Redox value.
The design of the 3698-10B ensures that the internal volume is increased which allows for a larger volume of our proprietary reference materials (including our polymerised high temperature reference material) which are separated using our integral double junction. The larger area of reference material improves the operational life of the Redox probe and also allows it to operate across a temperature range of 0-100ºC.
As standard, the long life Redox probe 3698-10B is fitted with 10 feet of connecting cable, terminating in a BNC process connector making it easy to connect to a Redox controller or other Redox Instrument.
