The R800T-10B PTFE Reference Redox probe improves upon our industrial Redox probe range by incorporating a PTFE reference junction, in place of the ceramic reference, while maintaining all of our technological advancements in Redox electrode design.
PTFE Reference Redox Probe R800T-10B Introduction
The R800T is designed specifically for heavy industrial usage where aggressive Redox reactions take place, or where concentrated chemicals are required.
The materials of construction used to manufacture the R800T-10B have all been selected to ensure maximum chemical compatibility. The key to this is replacing our normal ceramic reference junction with a porous PTFE to ensure that the reference junction remains in constant contact with the solution being measured.
The PTFE reference junction combined with the flat platinum disc ensure that the Redox measurements are both precise and respond rapidly to changing Redox values.
The body of the R800T-10B is manufactured in chemically resistant PVDF and with the integral double junction with high temperature polymer bridge, the R800T-10B can operate at a temperature range of 0-100ºC and is resistant to electrode poisoning.
PTFE Reference Redox Probe R800T-10B Features & Benefits
In addition to operate even within very aggressive Redox reactions, the R800T-10B is designed to be flexible in it's installation method.
The R800T-10B has a 3/4" male thread at the front of the probe body for mounting inline, to measure the Redox value in a flow. There is also a 3/4" male thread at the rear of the Redox probe so that it can be mounted in a riser tube to be come a dip mounting Redox probe for mounting into an open vessel or a process tank.
The PTFE reference of the redox probe is shaped into our tuff tip design and combined with the flat platinum disc, the probe is virtually indestructible during normal operation. The lateral profile of the Redox probe is minimised so that if solids are present within an inline flow, or have velocity due to an industrial agitator, the PTFE reference Redox probe is protected from mechanical damage.
As the PTFE tuff-tip is non fouling the R800T-10B can offer online or continual redox measurements and removal is only required for periodic calibration or cleaning.
The R800T-10B is fitted with 10 feet of connecting cable and BNC connector as standard for easy mounting to a pH instrument.
It has been designed for mounting in non-pressurised vessels or in pipework using ether the front mounted 3/4" male thread or the rear mounted 3/4" male thread.
The materials of construction are selected without compromise, boasting a body manufactured in Kynar (PVDF) and a tuff-tip non fouling reference in PTFE.
The shape of the flat platinum disc electrode is designed to prevent mechanical damage from solids or particles in suspension and with velocity such as in pipework or vessels where mixers are present.
The Double Junction with silver, silver-chloride (Ag-AgCl) reference prevents electrode poisoning while maintaining precision Redox readings and a rapid response to changes in Redox values for process critical industrial applications.
Designed for industrial environments and rated for a temperature range of 0-100ºC.
