The SUR-457 meter is equipped with one universal input, type:  0/4-20 mA, 0-10V, 0-150 mV, Pt 100/500/1000 or TC (K, S, J, T, N, R, B, E). During the measurement process only one kind of input is available. As a main advantage, this device is equipped with a large, 57 mm high display offering ultra bright red, green and blue as well as multicolour LED's. Thanks to the tight housing with high (IP 67) protection degree, this device is particularly suitable for operations in harsh environments.

Due to wide range of characteristic curves (linear, square root, quadratic, user-defined and volume characteristic for cylindrical tanks) the meters may be used in various process control systems. The 24V DC / 100 mA output is designed to supply measuring transducers, and the RS-485 port enables data transmission in production process monitoring systems. The REL / OC control outputs can adjust the level of measured signal and are controlled according to one or two threshold values.

Moreover, the meter can be equipped with analogue outputs, according to the customer selection: active current output, passive isolated current output or active voltage output. The device with thermocouple input has additional measurement range (-10 ÷ 90 mV) mainly for diagnostics of measurement circuits. Temperature Controller

A temperature controller is a device designed to offer automatic control of a process based on the measured temperature value.

Each of the temperature controllers amplifies the incoming signal from a resistance temperature device (RTD) such as a PT100 or PT1000 platinum resistance thermometer (PRT).

The temperature is displayed on the screen of each of the temperature controllers allowing the user to visually identify the measured temperature.

Temperature Control Options

With the accurately measured temperature displayed on the screen the temperature controllers offer a number of different control options.

Each of the temperature controllers has a control relay. This is in an electrical contact which allows process devices to be switched on or off. This is commonly used to control heaters, chillers, as well as open or close control valves.

On effluent discharge monitoring systems the temperature controllers have been used open a control valve, allowing process effluent which is hotter than an agreed consent to discharge agreement to be recirculated. This allows the effluent to cool below the permitted temperature outlined in a consent to discharge agreement before being discharged.

Many of the controllers have 2 x control relays and the TR7615 has 2 x control relays and an alarm relay. This allows them to control numerous processes and are frequently used in process control applications in a number of manufacturing processes.

Temperature Controller with 4-20mA Output

In addition - to a control relay and associated set-point, many of the temperature controllers include a 4-20mA output.

This is an industry standard current signal which is proportional to the range of the instrument. So if an instrument has a range of 0 - 100°C and the measured value is 50°C - the 4-20mA signal would be 12.00mA.

In addition to temperature controllers with a 4-20mA, we also offer a stand alone 4-20mA temperature transmitter the TT100. This is designed to be mounted inside the head of a temperature sensor and transmit a 4-20mA signal directly from the temperature sensor itself.

The TT100 is a 4-20mA temperature transmitter - so not technically a temperature controller at all!

Designed to sit inside the head of temperature sensor, the TT100 takes the incoming signal from a  PT100 PRT and outputs a 4-20mA corresponding the measured temperature. Ideal for use with 4-20mA controllers and PLC's.

The TT100 is available with a measuring range of 0 - 50°C, 0 - 100°C0 - 200°C, or -10°C to 100°C.

Surface Mounting Temperature Controller

The Model TR3645-W Temperature Controller is designed to be easy to use; accurate; provide control options for simple control applications and a 4-20mA output signal for integration with industrial control options.

The TR3645-W is designed to pair with a 3 Wire PT100 Temperature Sensor to give a measuring and controlling range between - 20°C to + 120°C.

The TR3645 is available as a Din rail mounted unit for mounting in a control panel, or as the TR3645-W in a surface mounting enclosure.

Designed with the operator in mind, the TR3645-W is easy to use and has a large easy to read LCD (liquid crystal display) displaying the measured temperature in °C.

The TR3645-W can be powered from either 115 VAC or 230 VAC 50 / 60Hz.

When the TR3645 is provided in din rail mounting configuration it measures just 105 mm wide x 100 mm high x 58 mm deep.  When supplied in the surface mounting enclosure the unit measures 135 mm wide x 170 mm high and 115mm deep.

When in surface mounting configuration the conductivity controller has a clear door for easy access to the simple to use controls, allowing the operator to calibrate the instrument or set the two set points from the front panel.

The values of the set-point is easy to determine using the front mounted potentiometers.  By selecting a value at which the set-point should operate and either high or low level operation to engage the set-point.  The system has a set-point LED to illustrate the relay state and for checking the relays during setup or commissioning.


Temperature Controller TR3645-W Setpoint with On/Off Control Relay

The TR3645-W has an easy to programme On/Off control setpoint with an adjustable time delay of up to 40 seconds before the relay operates. The relay co-operation can be selected for either High or Low operation via a control switch.

When the setpoint is configured for use under low operation, then when the monitored temperature value is lower than the setpoint value, the LED is lit and the corresponding relay is activated.  If the relay has the delay function activated then the timer will be called until the relay is activated.

For use under high operation, then when the monitored temperature value is higher than the setpoint, the LED is lit and the corresponding relay is activated.  Again, if a delay has been assigned to the relay then the relay will wait until this delay has expired, before activating the relay.

As the TR3645-W is an easy to use temperature controller with excellent control options, it makes an excellent choice of cost effective temperature controller for many processes, including simple engagement and disengagement of a heater, alarm circuitry or for integration into larger systems where temperature is measured or controlled.
