pH Probe with Automatic Temperature Compensation
The PTT283-20B is a pH probe with automatic temperature compensation built in, for ensuring that the pH value is accurately reflected when the temperature value changes.
The PTT283-20B also incorporates our tuff tip liquid end magna junction. This is a complicated way of conveying that it's very difficult to break the glass bulb from typical usage; the liquid end is non-fouling and the response time of the pH probe is rapid.
As you would expect from our range of industrial pH probes - the PTT283-20B features a double junction which ensures that the probe is resistant to electrode poisoning.

One of the key advantages of the PTT283-20B is that it is a pH probe with temperature compensation built into the pH probe.
We offer pH probes with automatic temperature compensation compatible with our pH instruments ex-stock. Custom types are also available to order.
The key advantage of using a pH probe with built in temperature compensation is that the temperature device is mounted within the pH glass. It is sited right at the end of the pH probe, which is the place where the pH is measured. This means that the pH and Temperature are measured within millimetres of one another ensuring accurate temperature compensation.

The PTT283-20B includes a tough tip magna-flow pH probe reference like the PTT183-20B. This makes the pH bulb virtually unbreakable from mechanical damage during standard usage. This is especially important in a submersible mounting pH probe like the PTT100S which is designed to be mounted in non-pressurised vessels where agitators or industrial mixers are present.
The double junction PTT283-20B is resistant to electrode poisoning. This is where the silver, silver chloride reference electrode of a single junction pH probe can react with the solution being measured. This causes the pH probe to have a slow response time, inaccurate measurements and eventually the pH sensor will fail.
The 3/4" mounting thread makes installation of the pH probe simple and easy. The removal of the pH probe for periodic calibration is as simple as unscrewing the pH probe and continuing with the pH buffer procedure.
In addition the PTT283-20B pH probe with built in temperature compensation is manufactured from PVDF making it suitable for temperatures up to 100ºC
