pH Electrodes and Redox Electrodes
To complement our range of pH and Redox instruments we supply a wide range of electrodes for many industrial applications.
The most common types of electrode mountings that we are asked for are as follows:-
Dip or submersion electrodes
Where the electrode is installed in the top of a vented or open vessel, sump, pit, stream or channel. The electrode system maybe either mounted by means of spring clips or by the mounting flange, it should be easily accessible to remove for cleaning and periodic calibration. Our electrodes feature either full glass bulbs with a guard or low profile easy clean domed bulbs with a variety of profiles. Each sensor offers a fast response time.
Our dip electrode assemblies are manufactured in either PVC for use up to 50°C, cPVC for usage up to 80°C or Kynar (PVDF) for use at elevated temperatures.
Inline electrodes are used where the pH or redox electrode forms part of the pipeline, normally installed in a bypass or taken off a large diameter pipe where the flow can be isolated by valves before and after the electrode system, we offer systems in PVC, Kynar (PVDF) and 316 stainless steel.
Lock N Load Electrodes
These are a type of inline electrode which are designed to be used in environments where it is not possible to install isolation valves, or where the electrode has to be removed when the process is running. These are a self-isolating inline electrode holders - so when the electrode is removed the chamber where the electrode was held, it is isolated from the solution being measured - this means that the electrode can be removed for periodic calibration or cleaning without having to stop the process or drain the pipework.
These are electrodes that are installed into larger diameter pipeline or the side of a vessel if angled up from horizontal by a minimum of 10°, the vessel or pipe should be able to be drained for removal of the electrode for maintenance and calibration.
Dip or Submersion pH Electrode Assemblies
Our pH assemblies utilise a silver silver chloride reference electrode with a double junction and polymerised reference material combined with a special low impedance pH glass for precision pH measurements and an excellent response time.
Our dip pH electrode Assemblies are compatible with all pH instruments except those with preamplifiers or other electronic devices encapsulated inside the electrode, and often our perform the original pH sensor.
The models within our range include the following:-
P36-10B Disposable dip system in PVC with double junction reference. Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 50°C.
An excellent entry level dip electrode system proving accurate results and supplied to a length of 900mm
PS90S Dip electrode assembly in PVC. Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 50°C.
The PS90s is available with a length of 1000mm ex-stock complete with mounting flange. The PS90s can be supplied in custom lengths up to 3 metres and the sealed glass electrode is our PS183-20B and is available as a replacement electrode insert for a low cost of ownership.
PTT90S Dip electrode system in PVC. Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 50°C.
The PTT90s is designed for use where industrial mixers are present. The electrode insert is the RTT183-20B with a tuff tip end which is designed to be unbreakable to mechanical damage when measuring solutions under agitation even when solids are present.
As with the PS90s this can be supplied in custom lengths up to 3 metres and the sealed glass electrode is our RTT183-20B, which is available as a replacement electrode insert for a low cost of ownership.
PTT100S Dip electrode system in PVDF. Suitable for a temperature of 0 - 100°C or where concentrated chemical reagents are used.
The PTT100s is fitted with our PTT283-20B electrode insert. This is a double junction electrode with an all PVDF construction and has an integrated automatic temperature compensation. Ideal for use where the measured solution is hot or if concentrated chemical reagents are being used. Available with a length of up to 2500mm long. The PTT283-20B is available as a replacement electrode insert.
Dip or Submersion Redox Electrode Assemblies
Our Dip Redox Electrode assemblies utilise a platinum band or platinum disc and silver-silver chloride reference electrode mounted within an integral double junction. This provides both accurate oxidising or reducing measurements and a quick response time to changing values.
All our Redox electrodes are compatible with other equipment manufacturers with the exception of those that use costly built in electronics or preamplifiers, and often out perform the original redox sensor.
R36-10B Disposable dip Redox assembly in PVC with double junction reference and platinum band. Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 50°C.
Our entry level R36-10B is an excellent way of taking Redox or ORP measurements in a process vessel. The unit is disposable and available with a length of 900mm
RS90S Dip Redox assembly in PVC is suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 50°C.
Available ex-stock with a length of 1000mm and can be custom made to lengths of up to 3 metres. Supplied complete with PS183-20B double junction reference redox sensor with large annular platinum band and mounting flange.
The RS183-20B can be supplied as a replacement redox electrode insert which gives this dip assembly a low cost of ownership.
RTT90S Dip Redox electrode mV system in PVC and suitable for a temperature of 0 - 50°C. Fitted with flat platinum disc and silver silver chloride reference housed within a double junction - this Redox assembly is perfect for use in tanks and vessels where industrial mixers are present.
Available 1000 mm ex-stock and supplied complete with mounting flange. Lengths of 3000mm are available to order.
The PTT90s is supplied complete with the tuff tip RTT183-20B tuff tip Redox sensor insert, which has a specially designed flat platinum disc and reference which makes it virtually indestructible during normal operation.
RTT100S Dip Redox electrode millivolt system manufactured in PVDF for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C.
The RTT100s is available up to 2.5 metres in length and is supplied in an all PVDF construction. The RTT100s is designed for use where concentrated reagents are used or where the process solution is hot.
The RTT100s is fitted with our RTT283-20B Redox Electrode with all PVDF construction which is available as a redox sensor insert to ensure a low cost of ownership.
Replacement pH Electrodes for dip pH assemblies
Replacement pH electrode inserts for use with our range dip pH probe assemblies.
Each of our replacement pH probe assemblies fitted with a rear mounting 3/4" thread and 20 feet of specifically shielded low impedance connecting cable.
As standard our probe come complete with BNC process connector. Other connections are available upon request including S8 and S7 connectors.

Replacement pH insert for use with the PTT100s dip pH assembly
The PTT283-20B is manufactured in chemically resistant PVDF and uses our flat glass bulb and tuff tip ceramic reference with silver silver chloride reference electrode in an integral double junction with polymerised high temperature reference materials.
In addition to the pH sensor technology the PTT283-20B has an integral temperature sensor for use as an automatic temperature compensation for elevated temperatures (0 - 100°C).
The PTT283-20B is designed for use in hot solutions or where concentrated chemical reagents are being used and with the temperature sensor mounted within the glass bulb - the temperature is measured and compensated at the same point as where the pH is measured offering excellent precision and repeatability even for online measurements.
Replacement Redox Electrodes for dip Redox assemblies
Replacement Redox Insert for use with the RS90s dip Redox assembly
PVC body with exposed glass bulb and large annular platinum band. Integral double junction and a silver silver chloride reference electrode with an annular ceramic reference junction.
The annular platinum band offers excellent redox or ORP measurements as well as quick response times to changing Redox values. The annular ceramic reference junction is non-fouling and resistant to electrode poisoning.
Replacement Redox insert for use with the RTT90s dip Redox Assembly.
The RTT183-20B has a PVC body with a recessed flat platinum disc and silver silver electrode contained within an integral double junction with polymerised reference material. The reference is our ceramic tuff tip design.
The flat platinum disc offers accurate and excellent responses to changes in Redox value and with this being flat and housed within our tuff tip design - the Redox prove is virtually unbreakable during normal operation.
Designed specifically for use where solids are under agitation within a process vessel the RTT183-20B is an excellent electrode to use if you've experienced breakages from glass electrode types.
Replacement Redox insert for use with the PTT100s
The RTT283-20B is a PVDF Redox electrode insert with our tuff tip reference, flat platinum disc electrode and a silver silver chloride reference electrode which is housed within an integral double junction and utilises our polymerised reference materials.
With an all PVDF construction and ceramic reference the RTT283-20B is designed for use where concentrated chemical reagents or aggressive solutions are being used. The flat platinum disc reference and tuff tip ensure that the probe is able to operate industrial mixers and solids would cause damage to standard redox probes. The RTT283-20B is rated for use between 0 - 100°C.
Inline Electrode Holders
Our PES range of electrode holders will hold any of laboratory style electrodes fitted with a ryton flared cap. The holders are designed to hold the electrode in place within a pipe or divert line. The quick release mechanism allows them to be easily removed for general maintenance or calibration.
The electrode replacement requires no tools and can be accomplished in a few minutes.
The PES-1-QR is an inline electrode holder with a quick release fitting.
Manufactured in PVC and suitable for a temperature of 0 - 50°C is designed for use with 3/4" pipework. The PES-1-QR is available with threaded or connections.
The electrode is held within the end of the PES-1-QR within a bulb guard to prevent damage to the sensor.
For larger pipework we offer our PES-2-QR large diameter inline electrode holder.
The PES-2-QR uses the replacement electrodes for our dip assemblies for continuous pH or Redox measurement within pipework.
The PES-2-QR has a quick release mechanism which allows the easy removal of the electrode for either periodic maintenance or calibration.
Designed for large diameter pipework for pipework with BSP and union fittings for 2" pipework as standard.
The PVC version of PES-2-QR is rated for temperatures from 0 - 50°C.
Lock N load
Where an electrode has to be mounted within pipework for continuous pH or Redox measurements we recommend our inline electrode holders.
Where it is not possible to install an isolation / drain valve before or after the electrode, we strongly recommend our lock n load inline electrode holders.
The lock n load is self isolating which means that if the electrode needs to be removed while the measured solution is still flowing because the process cannot be stopped, then the lock n load can accommodate this requirement.
As the electrode is removed from the lock n load - the sensor chamber is isolated preventing the measured solution from escaping.
The lock n load doesn't incorporate any clumsy chains or clunk ball valves - it has an elegantly designed integral self isolating chamber which is opened and closed with a simple lift & twist of the electrode chamber.
Normally available ex-stock in PVC for a temperature rating of 0 - 60°C or 316 stainless for dairy and brewing applications rated for use between 0 - 100°C
Also available to order in PVDF / Kynar for use with concentrated chemicals and a temperature rating of 0 - 100°C.
All of our listed pH electrodes can be used with the PES-1-QR inline electrode holder or for stand alone pH measurement applications.
Each of our pH electrodes has a silver silver chloride integral reference electrode. We're also able to offer electrodes with alternative reference electrode materials and offer custom designed electrodes for specific applications if required.
Our electrodes are compatible with other manufactures pH equipment if they don't use costly integrated electronics and will often out perform the originally supplied electrode.

A brilliant all round electrode - suitable for use where electrode poisoning may occur (where the silver silver chloride reference electrode reacts with the measured compound). The oversized pH bulb gives unparalleled precision, response time and repeatability.

Glass bodied double junction pH electrode with non-fouling peripheric junction. Designed with special low impedance pH glass and over sized glass bulb. Supplied complete with 3 metres of connecting cable.
The special glass in the 9072-10B is designed to give very accurate readings in low conductivity solutions and the peripheric junction and special reference material are designed to prevent electrode leaching when the measured solution has a very low conductivity.
Suitable for a temperature of 0 - 50°C and a range of 0 - 11 pH.
Glass bodied pH electrode with non-fouling ceramic junction and ground glass sleeve. Bullet shaped pH bulb and high temperature polymerised references
This electrode is designed to be resistant to electrode boiling (where the internal reference materials become vaporous when exposed to high temperature) at temperatures up to 120°C.
Can be fitted with an internal temperature sensor if required.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 120°C and a range of 0 - 13pH
Glass bodied pH electrode with annular ceramic junction and integral double junction with polymerised reference material. Bullet shaped High Alkalinity glass.
The 9037-10B is designed as pH electrode to give accurate readings in very high alkalinities.
In very strong or concentrated alkaline solutions the OH ions are so high in concentration that they can permeate the pH glass of standard pH electrodes. This causes a false positive reading of Hydrogen ions causing the pH electrode to report the measured solution as being more acidic than it really is.
Our special glass significantly reduces Hydroxide ion absorption through the pH glass giving accurate readings all the way up to ≈ 14pH.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a pH range of 2 - 14pH.
Our laboratory style Redox electrodes are designed to give precision redox measurements and respond rapidly to changing Redox or ORP values.
All of our redox electrodes use a large annular platinum band and a silver silver chloride reference electrode.
All of our Redox electrodes will worth with other manufacturers equipment with the exception of when costly integrated electronics are used and will often out perform other manufacturers supplied Redox sensors.
As standard our Redox sensors are fitted with a BNC process connector and alternative connectors are available if required.

A glass bodied Redox electrode with large annular platinum band and non-fouling peripheric ceramic junction. The 9086-10B has an integral double junction and utilises our polymerised reference gels.
A Redox electrode designed for demanding applications where concentrated chemicals are being used or where the oxidising or reducing reaction has reacted with the materials of construction of other electrodes. Often used when Redox or ORP reactions are taking place at high temperatures.

pH Electrode 9392-10B
The 9392-10B is a long bodied glass combination electrode designed for use specifically with the Lock N load inline electrode holder. The 9392-10B has a large low impedance reference glass, non-fouling annular ceramic reference, a double integral junction and polymerised reference materials within an integral double junction.
The 9392-10B is designed specifically for inline readings using our lock-n-load electrode holders. and as such offers excellent accuracy on inline readings and a quick response time to changing pH values.
The 9392-10B is suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a range of 0 - 13pH.
The 9392-10B is available with a 316 stainless steel sheath for use with the stainless steel lock-n-load inline electrode holder. Part Number 9392-SS-10B
Redox Electrode 9386-10B
The 9386-10B is a redox electrode designed specifically for use with our lock-n-load inline electrode holder.
The 9386-10B is a long glass bodied combination Redox electrode with an integral double junction, polymerised reference material and a large platinum band with non fouling annular ceramic reference.
The 9386-10 offers continuous precision Redox readings inline and provides a rapid response to changing Redox values.
The long glass body of the 9386-10B makes is suitable for the lock-n-load Redox electrode holder and the 9386-10B is suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a range of 0 ± 2000mV.
The 9386-10B is available with a stainless steel sheath for use with the stainless steel Lock-N-Load, please use part number 9386-SS-10B.
Insertion pH Electrodes
Our industrial housed pH probes are designed to provide precision pH measurements in harsh industrial environments.
Each probe within the our industrial range is manufactured with an internal silver silver chloride reference electrode and each probe provides a way of the sensor being mounting either directly into pipework or into a riser tube for dip mounting. Most of our industrial sensors offer threaded connections on both sides for simple adoption of either dip mounting or inline mounting.
Our industrial range of sensors are normally supplied with 3 metres of connecting cable and a BNC process connector. Additional cable lengths and alternative connections are available to order.
All our industrial sensors are available to order with an integral temperature compensator for use as either temperature measurement or Automatic Temperature Compensation. Please specify the instrument to be used so we can ensure compatibility.
The 9027-10B is an insertion sensor manufactured in black Kynar with a 1/2" thread for installing into pipework.
The 9027-10B is a combination pH probe with a very large glass sphere, a non-fouling annular ceramic reference junction and uses our polymerised reference material.
The 9027-10B gives a superb response time to changing pH values and excellent precision pH measurements even in pipework when measuring continuously.
The 9027 is rated for a temperature usage of 0 - 100°C and a range of 0 - 13pH
Please note - we do not recommend the 9027-10B for use where solids are present in the flow.
The 1627-10B industrial sensor has a 3/4" threads at the front and back of the electrode housing for either insertion into pipework or for use with a riser tube for dip mounting.
The 1627-10B is manufactured in PVDF and has an integral double junction with our polymerised reference materials and non-fouling ceramic tuff-tip reference. The pH sensor uses a flat glass with minimal protrusion from the tip of the sensor.
The 1627-10B is designed for use in applications where other pH sensors may have been broken by solids in the measured solution.
The tough housing doesn't compromise the precision of the sensor which offers excellent response times and precision pH measurements.
Suitable for a range of 0 - 100°C and 0 - 13pH.
P8134-10B (Formerly:- P8027-10B)
The P8134-10B is the new part number for the industrial electrode with the old part number of P8027-10B
The P8134-10B is manufactured in chemically resistant black PVDF with 3/4" threads at the front and rear of the sensor for either inline or dip mounting.
The P8134-10B has a fully exposed pH bulb behind a bulb guard to give some protection against solids in the measured solution. The electrode has a non-fouling annular ceramic reference junction and an integral double junction with polymerised reference materials.
The P8134-10B is designed for use where concentrated chemical reagents are being used and with minimal solids in the measured solution.
Suited for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a measuring range of 0 - 13pH the P8134-10b excellent measurement precision and a rapid response to changing pH values.
P8361-10B (Formerly:- P8000-10B)
Sealed Double Junction pH Probe in black PVDF housing with ceramic tuff tip reference junction and dual 3/4" threads for inline or dip mounting.
The P8361-10B (formerly our P8000-10B) has our special tough tip reference material and flat glass sensor for mounting into pipework or into a riser tube for measuring the pH tanks.
The special flat glass sensor and non-fouling ceramic tuff tip reference are designed to measure the pH in applications which would break a standard bulb shaped electrode. Even when there are solids under agitation from a high speed mixer.
Suitable for a temperature of 0 - 100°C; and a pH range of 0 - 14pH.
P8362-10B (Formerly:- P800T-10B)
The P8362-10B is a sealed double junction combination pH probe manufactured in PVDF with a PTFE reference in our tuff-tip design.
The P8362-10B is designed specifically for where aggressive or concentrated reagents are being used in pH critical processes or where other probes have failed. The porous teflon reference is both extremely chemically resistant and provides an excellent response time to changing pH values.
Utilising our flat glass sensor and non-fouling PTFE reference junction the P8362-10B is designed to operate even where solids are in the process solution under agitation from high speed mixers.
The P8362-10B is designed for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a pH range of 0 - 13pH.
The 3637-10B is a long bodied sealed combination pH sensor with an integral double junction and a large exposed glass sensor end mounted behind a bulb guard. The 3637-10B has a non-fouling peripheric PTFE reference and is manufactured in PVDF with a single rear mounted 3/4" BSP thread.
The 3637-10B pH electrode is specifically designed for use in open vessels where the pH value is critical to the process. With a PVDF body and PTFE reference the 3637-10B is designed to be used with concentrated chemical reagents.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C; and provides excellent response times and precision readings across a range of 0 - 13 pH.
Industrial Redox Electrodes.
The 9027-10B is an insertion Redox (ORP) Probe with manufactured in black kynar with a 1/2" thread for installing directly into pipework.
The 9027 has a large platinum band and non-fouling annular ceramic reference junction which ensures that this electrode offers excellent response times and precision Redox measurements.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a Redox range of 0 ± 2000mV.
Please note - we do not recommend installing this redox electrode in pipework where fast flowing solids are present.
The 1698-10B Redox probe is manufactured in PVDF with a dual 3/4" thread at the front and back of the probe, for either inline mounting, or for connecting to a riser tube for dip installation into a tank.
The 1698-10B combines a recessed flat platinum disc and our non-fouling tuff tip reference junction and an integral double junction with polymerised reference materials.
With the flat platinum disc and tuff tip reference - the 1698-10B is virtually unbreakable and is a Redox electrode we recommend for use in process tanks with industrial agitators and for where pipework with fast flowing solids might be present.

P8294-10B (Formerly P8126-10B)
The P8294-10B is a sealed combination Redox electrode manufactured in our black PVDF for greater chemical resistance.
With an integral double junction, polymerised reference material, a large annular platinum band and our tuff tip reference offers excellent response times to changing redox values and accurate Redox measurements.
The annular band is sits on our bullet shaped glass which is held behind a bulb guard to offer some resistance to solids in the measured solution.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a Redox range of 0 ± 2000mV.
R8391-10B (Formerly R8000-10B)
The R8391-10B is a sealed double junction Redox probe in black PVDF with a non-fouling tuff tip ceramic reference junction and flat platinum disc sensor.
Designed specifically for use in pipework where fast flowing solids are present, or in process vessels where solids are under agitation - the R8391-10B offers precision Redox measurements while also being virtually indestructible to mechanical damage.
The recessed platinum disc and tuff tip end offer excellent contact with the measured solution while also maintaining a reduced profile significantly reducing the likelihood of a collision with a solid.
The R8391-10B is suitable for a temperature range 0 - 100°C and a measuring range of 0 ± 2000mV.
R8392-10B (Formerly:- R800T-10B)
The R8392-10B is a black PVDF Redox probe with a flat platinum disc, an integral double junction with polymerised reference materials, and a non-fouling tuff tip PTFE reference.
With wetted parts in PVDF and PTFE the R8392-10B is ideal for use when concentrated chemical reagents are being used.
The flat platinum and tuff tip PTFE non-fouling junction offer excellent response times to changing Redox values and precision Redox measurements even in strong Redox reactions.
The R8392-10B has dual 3/4" threads for either dip mounting into tanks and vessels or for installation directly into pipework.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a Redox range of 0 ± 2000mV.
The 3698-10B is a redox probe with a PVDF body and a single rear mounted thread for installation into a riser tube for dip mounting into tanks or process vessels.
With an all PVDF body, a non-fouling annular PTFE reference and a large annular platinum band the 3698-10B offers precision Redox measurements and an unparalleled response time to changing Redox values even in strongly oxidising or reducing solutions.
Designed for use in Redox critical applications and where concentrated chemicals are being used. The annular platinum band is mounted onto our bullet shaped glass which is held behind our bulb guard.
Suitable for a temperature range of 0 - 100°C and a Redox range of 0 ± 2000mV.

pH electrodes for use where fluorides or hydrofluoric acid is used
We offer a number of pH sensors which are either immune or resistant to the effects of fluoride. Most notably where hydrofluoric acid is used within a process.

The LMK1 is ready made up to suit your requirements. We can offer a number of different types of connectors to connect your pH meter to a pH electrode system.
The LMK1 is cut to your specified size. For cable runs in excess of 50 meters we strongly recommend using a 2 wire transmitter or microtransmitter preamplifier.

ACS Auto Clean System
For use with our dip mounting pH and Redox sensor assemblies we offer our auto clean systems.
These are designed specifically for use with a controller that uses an auto clean relay such as our P7685-010 pH controller..
When energised the auto-clean relay holds the pH or Redox value so that the controller doesn't read a false measurement and cause any attached control equipment to function.
In addition - the auto clean relay activates the cleaning system - one system is a compressed air system which is designed for use when solids and other detritus such as tissues or solidified waste is present and could cause the electrode to be blinded.
Alternatively we offer a wash system which can use a dosing pump to spray a concentrated degreaser against the electrode. This is normally used where fats, oils or greases are present in the measured solution (normally effluent).
The ACS is available supplied with either the PS90s / RS90s or PTT90s / RTT90s or as a kit to retrofit to an existing installation.
